His voice differs greatly from his predecessor, having more of a jagged edge that fits Rolf's naturally pirate-like persona, but also brings a sort of Dio meets Blackie Lawless element of high-pitched sleaze into the equation, and ultimately sounds remarkably close to former Cryonic Temple vocalist Glen Metal and one-time Steel Attack front man Dick Johnson. A few changes have occurred since the debut, the most blatant of which being the exodus of vocalist Erik Nordkvist and the entry of the snarling, Bulgarian metallic beast in Georgy Piechev.

Naturally the pressure was on for a worthy follow up, dispelling any myths that this was just a one-off side project that would stop with a single album praising one of Germany's premier metal exports, and No Sign Of Glory proves to be just that. Named for the Running Wild album that kicked off the 90s and heavily steeped in the melodic splendor and Iron Maiden meets speed metal stylistic trappings that defined said band, a veritable metallic powerhouse of epic proportions was unleashed in 2013 in Return To Port Royal that reminisced upon the good old days of the 90s power metal resistance to the point of being an utter throwback, mimicking and exaggerating the sound of the original all but to the point of morphing into an all out tribute band. One person who clearly did his homework on not only the methodology, but also the very spirit of what made said music so powerful is Cederick "Ced" Forsberg, Swedish multi-instrumentalist and metal extraordinaire, as can be gleaned from the handiwork of arguably best known project Blazon Stone. It's an ironic eventuality when considering that the 1990s was a really bad time for metal touched by any degree of traditionalism, but the famed German power metal pioneers in question can be credited with helping to keep the style alive during its darkest period, and arguably put out most of their best work during said decade. Although opinions vary as to the extent of the decline, there is a broad consensus that the caliber of Running Wild's studio output took a downward trajectory in the quality department at the beginning of the current millennium.
